North American chemical producer, distributor, and toll-manufacturer is looking to fill a strategic Account Manager position in their Industrial Chemicals Division. The position is best located in the Milwaukee, WI area but other locations in the Upper Midwest are also acceptable. This position is focused on selling raw material specialty chemicals and contract blending services to the sanitary wipes manufacturing market in the USA. The compensation level on this position is very attractive, and there are excellent opportunities for advancement. Overnight travel could be as high as 50%.

Responsibilities: Manage an existing account base and prospect for new accounts within the sanitary wipes manufacturing market in the USA. Sell raw material chemicals (surfactants, biocides, sanitizers, anti-microbials, etc.) all used in a variety of sanitary wipe formulations. Sell to manufacturers that do their own blending in-house. Sell contract blending services to those accounts that use outside blenders. Research for potential target accounts. Make cold calls and new product and service introductions. Fill the sales “pipeline” with new business projects. Call on all levels at prospective accounts. Develop and maintain strong business relationships. Set up new product and service trials. Utilize a CRM (SalesForce) to manage the pipeline. Communicate effectively with customers and internal management.

Requirements: 3+ years of chemical sales experience to the sanitary wipes manufacturing market. A college degree is required. A high level of self-motivation. Good organization skills. Excellent customer relationship building abilities. Strong technical aptitude. Knowledge of the sanitary wipes manufacturing market in the USA, preferably with contacts.

Compensation:  Base: $80,000 – $120,000, commensurate with experience. Plus, a very lucrative bonus plan based on new gross profit dollars brought in. This could be substantial ($20,000 – $40,000+ is realistic range). It can be as high as 1X the base salary annually. Company car.  Excellent benefits. Opportunities for advancement.
