If you are a successful chemical sales professional looking for an excellent income and career growth opportunity, here’s your chance to join a growing and entrepreneurial North American raw material specialty chemical company.  Our client is looking for a high-energy “hunter” to fill a home-based sales position; ideally located in either the Louisville, KY, Evansville, IN, or St. Louis, MO areas.  Overnight travel is expected to be approximately 20%.

Responsibilities: Sell a broad range of raw material specialty chemicals (Additives, Pigments, Resins, etc.) to the CASE (Coatings, Adhesives, Sealants, & Elastomers) markets in a region that includes Southern Indiana, Northern Kentucky, and Southern Illinois. This is technical selling. There would also be a large amount of prospecting and cold calling responsibilities. Manage all pricing and account strategies. Grow the business, both at existing accounts, but also add new accounts. Travel overnight as needed.

Requirements: 4+ years of experience selling specialty chemicals or commodity chemicals, preferably to the CASE markets. Sales experience with a chemical distributor is a plus.  A Bachelor’s Degree is required – Chemistry (or related), or Business is preferred.  High energy “hunter” with proven sales success in the region.  Willingness to travel overnight as needed.

Company Information: North American raw material specialty chemical company.

Compensation:  Base salary: $90,000 – $120,000, commensurate with experience. Plus, generous annual bonus based on GP$ growth vs. budget. Realistic bonus would be in the 25% – 40% of base salary range: there is no cap. Company car. Excellent benefits.  Opportunities for advancement.
