Large global adhesives & sealants manufacturer is looking to fill a critical Account Manager position in Texas. The best locations are Dallas or Houston. Austin is also a possibility. This is an excellent sales position focused on selling industrial adhesives & sealants to the Transportation (non-automotive), Appliance, Components (prefabricated doors, windows, etc.), and General Industrial Manufacturing markets in the TX, LA, OK, and NM Region. The compensation level on this position is attractive. There are excellent opportunities for advancement. The overnight travel is expected to be about 40%.

Responsibilities: Sell a broad range of industrial adhesives & sealants to the general industrial manufacturing account base in the TX, LA, OK, and NM Region. There are multiple product lines used in a variety of assembly applications. Sell on a value add basis. Call on engineers and applicators, as well as plant managers and purchasing. Develop strong business relationships. Manage pricing, trouble shooting, and follow-up on all service issues. Look for new opportunities for sales, and fill the project pipeline. Develop the sales plan for the territory and execute the plan. Communicate effectively with customers and internal management.

Requirements: 4+ years of adhesives or chemical sales experience to the general industrial manufacturing industry. Or closely related industrial sales or applications experience. An engineer with a desire to get into a sales role is also a potential fit. A high level of self-motivation. Good organization skills. Excellent customer relationship building abilities. Strong technical aptitude. A bachelor’s degree is required, but the concentration is open.
