Global leader in the Functional Food Ingredients, and Innovative Ag Solutions markets is looking to fill a strategic North American Sales Development Manager position, based anywhere near a major airport in the Continental USA. This position has responsibility for driving the growth of the Alternative Proteins Solutions business in North America and developing the North American opportunities that help to strengthen and significantly expand the business. In this role you will work closely with the Global Alternative Proteins Leader, the alternative proteins application team, and the rest of the alternative proteins sales team, to continue building momentum for the business through new business and application opportunities. This is an entrepreneurial position and an opportunity to be part of building a business within a large global organization. Excellent visibility with career growth potential. Overnight travel is estimated at up to 50%.

Responsibilities: Focused sales development and growth of the Alternative Proteins business and product line in North America. Understand customer, market, and competitor trends to deliver sales growth. Build and manage a targeted alternative proteins lead list. Make effective presentations to top customer targets. Manage growth opportunities and customer projects. Manage at least 3-5 active accounts. Communicate effectively with customers and internal management.

Requirements: Extensive functional food ingredient sales or business development experience (10+ years). Experience in the meat, poultry, seafood, and/or alternative proteins industry is preferred. An entrepreneurial mindset and a powerful desire to build a business. A strong track record of sales and new business development success. High-energy driven “Hunter” for new business who can help grow the North American Alternative Proteins business. Excellent organization and communication skills. Strong technical aptitude, and ability to work cross-functionally. A college degree is required, preferably in Food Science.

Compensation: Base: $125,000 – $150,000+ (commensurate with experience). Realistic annual bonus is 15% of base salary. Excellent benefits. Opportunities for advancement.
