Raw material chemical supplier is looking to fill a Sales Representative position in the Southeastern New Hampshire area (Manchester, Nashua, etc.). This is an excellent opportunity to join a very successful organization focused on selling raw material chemicals to a general industrial manufacturing market.  Some of the key markets for this territory are Pulp & Paper, Water Treatment, Metal Finishing & Plating, CASE (coatings, adhesives, sealants, elastomers), and HI&I (household, institutional and industrial cleaners) compounding. This is an exciting, fast paced, and challenging position. It’s a solid income and career growth opportunity as well. Overnight travel is expected to be about 10-20%.

Responsibilities: Manage and aggressively grow an existing territory and account base in New Hampshire and Vermont. Sell a broad range of commodity & specialty chemicals to a general industrial manufacturing market in the territory. The business requires selling on a commercial and sometimes a technical level to; manufacturing managers, chemists, formulators, and purchasing personnel. Prospect for and develop new opportunities at existing accounts, as well as hunt for and develop new accounts. Manage pricing, trouble shooting, new product introductions, etc. Communicate effectively with management, suppliers, and customers. Develop the sales strategy for the territory. Effectively use a CRM program to manage the territory and account information.

Requirements: 3+ years of industrial sales experience. Chemical industry sales experience is preferred. Experience selling a broad product line of both commodities & specialties, with a strong track record of sales success. A “hunter” for new business. Must be very professional, self-motivated, and can manage many activities, products, accounts, pricing, etc.  A college degree is required, but the concentration is open.
